Little Wing is a social and economic justice initiative based in Chicago.
Our investment arm, Little Wing Collective LLC, invests in companies and funds that seek for-profit solutions to social, economic and environmental challenges. While coming from a variety of backgrounds, our investments include funds and companies led by entrepreneurs who are Black, Brown, Asian-American and women. Above all, we invest in entrepreneurs and funders driven by purpose. Our giving arm, Little Wing Fund, focuses on community-based, founder-led nonprofits seeking social, economic and environmental justice. Little Wing Collective and Little Wing Fund strive to be a positive influence to those working in disinvested communities and those focused on climate change initiatives.
Our Name
The names Little Wing Collective and Little Wing Fund are inspired by the Jimi Hendrix song, "Little Wing," found on his album, Axis – Bold as Love. It's a beautiful and powerful song containing allusions to a female guardian angel. Our Little Wing logos contain references to the Axis album cover. The song is somewhat ephemeral and transitory, and Little Wing's approach is a reflection of the lyrics. Little Wing Collective and Little Wing Fund strive to be a positive influence to those working in disinvested communities and those focused on climate change initiatives.

I am the founder and managing director of Little Wing Collective. Founded in 2021, Little Wing Collective is a social and economic justice initiative that makes investments in companies that seek to make a positive impact. I also am the founder of Little Wing Fund, which is a philanthropic initiative that focuses primarily on supporting community-based, founder led nonprofits seeking economic and social justice.
Before starting Little Wing Collective, I was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer for 35 years, Partner in Reed Smith's Chicago office, and Co-Chair of the firm's Private Equity Group, focused on Middle Market Mergers & Acquisitions. I have more than three decades of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and Capital Markets transactions. For 15 consecutive years, I was recognized by Chambers USA as one of the leading Corporate/M&A & Private Equity lawyers in the United States.
